WHAT IS
MARCH MATNESS?
March Matness began as a global grassroots movement within the Pilates community — a month-long celebration of the classical mat repertoire as Joseph Pilates originally intended it. Started by instructors seeking to reconnect students to the foundational work, it quickly grew into an annual tradition practiced worldwide.
At Reforming Foundations, we've made it our own. Each day of March, one classical exercise is spotlighted — with full form guidance, modifications, and the "why" behind the movement. It's not about perfection. It's about showing up, practicing with intention, and celebrating what your body can do.
What began as a simple challenge has evolved into one of our most-loved community events of the year — a time when students and teachers move together, push each other, and rediscover why they fell in love with Pilates in the first place.
